Bidvest Prestige Group has affiliated itself with the Green Building Council of South Africa. The Green Building Council is an independent, non profit organization spearheaded by leaders from all sectors of the commercial property industry. Launched in 2007, their aim is to promote and facilitate Green Building practices through market based solutions.

The Green Building Council initiative addresses what are becoming major issues of our time- excess energy consumption and the related CO2 emissions from burning fossil fuels, pollution of air, water and land, the depletion of natural resources and the disposal of waste. Building green is an opportunity to use resources efficiently and address climate change while creating healthier and more productive environments for people to live and work in.

Bidvest Prestige Group aims to raise awareness of green cleaning benefits, recognize environmental leadership and the group's involvement, reduce the environmental impact of development, an initiative that improves or has the potential to improve environmental performance, bringing it under the public attention that Bidvest Prestige Group is environmental friendly/Green and reducing the use of harmful chemicals and that the group adds value through improving productivity whilst maintaining quality and value for money.

Bidvest Prestige Group recently participated in the Green Building Council Convention were the group cleaned the convention venue, lecture rooms and Gala event. Bidvest Prestige Group managed the recycling and Venue Décor. Procedures were maintained throughout on site.
